Dr. Andrew Goodman is a Cum Laude graduate from Parker College of Chiropractic licensed to practice in the state of Texas. Upon graduating from Richardson High School, Dr. Goodman attended the University of Texas at Austin. It was during this time that Dr. Goodman chose to pursue a career in chiropractic medicine. Dr. Goodman is a practicing Chiropractor at Spring Valley Chiropractic that will be contributing patient stories from time to time and the progression they have when using AlterG therapy as part of their visit.
Currently, Dr. Goodman is training for his first half-marathon, the Big D Half, which takes place on April 11th. Dr. Goodman’s running routine has given him a first-hand look into how endurance sports directly affect the musculoskeletal system, and how to effectively and efficiently treat athletes without delays. Here is his first post regarding a recent patient visit.
One of our regular patients at Spring Valley Chiropractic has Ankylosing Spondylitis
a specific form of arthritis that results in stiffening and eventual immobility of the vertebral and sacroiliac joints. Nearly the only form of exercise that she can tolerate is walking on the AlterG. Thanks to the differential air pressure technology, she is able to walk at a pace, and weight, that provides her with increased cardiac output without the impact on her spine. The air cushion that the AlterG provides is truly remarkable.
The increased activity that she completes on the AlterG effectively keeps her spine from stiffening which would occur more quickly than if she did not exercise at all. Another success story created at Spring Valley Chiropractic because of the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill™.
