I am 7 days in and I have lost 2 lbs. Not as much as I would have liked to see but it is definitely a start. Due to my busy work schedule I was unable to run on the AlterG as much I would have liked, but I will make a larger effort in the coming weeks. My goal is to run on the AlterG 3x a week for at least 30 mins at a time.
I have been experiencing quad pain and tightness, went in to see Dr Riggs on Monday. I wanted to share his thoughts in this post on his comments and recommendations….
[Hey all! I just wanted to give my two cents as to Jenn’s progress…Two pounds a week is a healthy, easily-maintainable weight-loss rate, especially given the Crossfit weight training she’s doing in addition to using the AlterG. That being said, I’m proud of her and will be monitoring her progress throughout. If you have any questions directly toward me, please don’t hesitate to email me at DrBrianRiggs@Gmail.com]
Have any of you been able to try the AlterG since my lost post? If you have, please comment below to let me know what you thought about the experience.
Here is my daily exercise log:
3/31/09 – 30 minute arm workout
4/1/10 – Running class 30 mins
4/2/10 – Started Daily Vitamins per Dr Riggs recommendation so I am able to get the best of every workout.
40 min AlterG for 20mins at 7.0mph – 70% body weight & 20mins at 7.5mph – 70% body weight
4/3/10 – Crossfit Workout
4/4/10 – 30 minute run
4/5/10 – 15 mins on the AlterG at 8.0mph – 75% body weight, Crossfit workout
I will follow up next week with my results. Please feel free to comment or leave recommendations anytime!
